Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill underwent second surgery on injured wrist

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill revealed on Wednesday that he underwent surgery for what appears to be a second procedure on his wrist in the last few months.

In photos posted on Snapchat, Hill wrote that it was “mission successful” on “surgery #2” and could be seen holding up a wrap over his right hand and wrist.

Back in February, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel revealed that Hill underwent surgery on his injured wrist and wouldn’t be cleared to catch passes until “around summertime.” It’s unclear for now if a second surgery pushes back that timeline or was part of the plan to repair the injury.

Hill, 31, played through the entire 2024 season with an injured wrist after suffering the injury in an August training camp practice.

“I just got to suck it up and just deal with the pain. It’s going to get worse the more I play, but I got to gut it out for my team,” Hill told reporters in November.

Hill finished the 2024 season with 81 receptions, 959 yards, and six touchdowns. It was the first time in his nine-year NFL career that he didn’t earn a spot in the Pro Bowl.
